The following lessons are intended to demonstrate the steps used to map an area for host plant monitoring and weevil surveillance. There are three parts to the lessons. The first part introduces the weevil, the host plant, and the Host Plant Area (HPA). The second part details the mapping steps. The third part outlines initial data collection.
